Carlsson intensifies activities in China |
Simultaneously to the start of the international automobile fair “Auto Guangzhou”, Carlsson opened its sales point in the southern Chinese city.
After having inaugurated the Carlsson China headquarter in Shanghai in October, Carlsson now celebrated the opening of the Carlsson sales point in Guangzhou, the capital of the southern Chinese province of Guangdong. Carlsson welcomed many guests to the opening ceremony on the 21st of November, among them several representatives of local and domestic politics, as well as the Carlsson CEO Markus Schuster.
Over the last years the “Auto Guangzhou” has emerged to become the most important international automotive fair in China. Around half a million people visited the fair before it ended on the 28th of November. Around 50 Chinese and foreign manufacturers were exhibiting their latest models and technologies at the fair – among them was Carlsson. On the 450m² booth the automobile manufactory was presenting the Carlsson CS60 and CGL45, which were developed exclusively for the Chinese market, as well as the limited Carlsson C25. In addition to these models a strictly limited version of the CS60 and CGL45, given the appendage “Royale” was to be found at the Carlsson booth. These are characterized by a two-tone paint in gold and black and a high-end interior refinement in Carlsson Nappa Leather.
An extension of the selective distribution network in China is planned for 2012, adding three more locations. Carlsson China is officially registered as an automobile importer and the vehicles have the necessary (Chinese) legal CCC license to operate the vehicles.
